ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) means the factory has existing, proven designs, often called catalog styles, that the brand can select from and customize. The brand might provide a sketch of logo placement, but the core garment design comes from the factory’s portfolio. ODM is excellent for brands wanting to launch faster with less upfront design cost, but it limits uniqueness.

For OEM sportswear partnerships, the quality and detail of the tech pack directly determine production efficiency. For ODM sportswear collaborations, clear communication of customization requirements is essential.

Common Communication Pitfalls and How to Avoid Them
